Who’s Climate Club Friends for?

CFF is for all people of all ages! This is a digital space for people who want to learn more about climate change without feeling intimidated. It’s a club for people who want to join in creative activities while helping to make the world a better place for the planet and its people.

What does Climate Club Friends do?

Think Girl Scouts but for climate change! You’ll earn badges (or pins) by completing tasks and learning new skills taught by fellow club members — everything from making sourdough to learning how to sew. We’ll also sprinkle in educational resources and host virtual (and IRL?) events so you can connect with other members.

How does the club work?

We’re in our “soft launch” era. So sign up below to join the club and we’ll keep you posted with more to come! In the meantime, follow us on Instagram @climateclubfriends.

Hi from the creator 👋🏼

Abigail Smith, Creator

Hey, pals!

In 2016, during a gap year, I stumbled upon The True Cost, a documentary covering a big clothing factory collapse in 2013. I was shocked to discover how much manual labor was still involved in making our clothes and the negative impacts fast fashion had on our planet (from pollution to unfair worker treatment).

I started asking more questions: Where does my food come from? How do my purchases affect others? Fast forward a few years, I now know that climate change is complex and multifaceted. I also know that while I can’t make a difference alone, there is power in collaboration, creativity, and community. That’s where Climate Club Friends comes in.

If this piques your interest, I hope you’ll join the club or reach out to say hi and ask me more about it!

Looking forward to connecting,
